GEMPA BUMI DI PADANG

Di Padang banyak hotel-hotel besar berbintang yang mengalami kerosakan teruk. Tetapi hotel-hotel kecil kebanyakannya selamat dari kesan gempa. Ini mungkin kerana hotel-hotel berbintang bangunannya besar dan lebih mudah rosak bila berlaku gempa.
Keadaan mangsa gempa sangat menyedihkan. Mereka ketakutan dengan gempa susulan, jadi mereka berada di luar rumah sementara bekalan elektrik telah terputus. Hujan lebat yang turun menyusuli gempa menyulitkan lagi keadaan mereka. Dianggarkan paling kurang diperlukan 10 ribu unit khemah darurat bersaiz keluarga untuk menampung penghuni yang rumah mereka rosak binasa, apatah lagi dalam keadaan cuaca yang sering hujan kini.
Harga barang-barang keperluan melonjak naik. Cili merah yang menjadi bahan asas dalam masakan Minang naik daripada Rupiah 30 ribu ke Rupiah 60 ribu se kilo. Barang barang lain juga mengalami kenaikan harga sekitar 30 ke 40 peratus.
Sebelah petang kami sempat singgah minum teh di rumah Bapak Adel Tasman anggota DPRD Sumbar. Beliau ialah adik kepada Aktifanus Jawahir anggota misi kami.
Kami telah menerima informasi tentang Pondok Pesantren Buya Hamka di Maninjau. Asrama pelajar lelaki dan rumah guru tidak dapat digunakan lagi. Namun asrama pelajar puteri, bagunan utama dan masjid masih utuh. Kerana bahaya tanah runtuh, warga pesantren telah pun berpindah ke Masjid Bancah. Setakat ini sudah ada lebih daripada 20 kejadian tanah runtuh disekitar Danau Maninjau.
Kami meneruskan perjalanan ke Pariaman, kawasan yang paling teruk dilanda gempa.
Malamnya kami bermalam di rumah Bapak Arsil Ibrahim yang pernah tinggal agak lama di Kuala Lumpur. Beliau kini bekerja di Jakarta namun adalah penduduk asal Pariaman. Alhamdulillah, rumah dan keluarga Arsil di Pariaman selamat.
Esok pagi kami akan membuat tinjauan sekitar Pariaman.

Bagan Pinang, Negeri Sembilan assemblyman Azman Mohammad Noor died at the Seremban Specialist Centre at 2.30pm due to blood septicimea. He was 55.
In the 2008 general election, Azman won the Bagan Pinang seat by a majority of 2,333 votes. Hegarnered 6,430 votes against Ramli Ismail of PAS, who had 4,097 votes. Bagan Pinang, located in the Teluk Kemang parliamentary seat in Port Dickson is a Malay-Muslim majority, make up 66%, while Chinese, 10.5%, and Indian, 19.9%.

4. Berusaha untuk menghisab atau mencari kesalahan-kesalahan sendiri atau dosa dan memohon ampun segera. Sebaik-baiknya solat dua rakaat sunat hajat dan memohon sesuatu yang diharuskan dan bukan yang mustahil.
5. Pastikan makanan, minuman, pakaian dan sesuatu yang kita gunakan seharian adalah dari sumber yang halal dan baik dan bukan sumber yang haram. Perkara kelima ini wajib dijaga, dihalusi dengan sempurna.
Dewasa ini, makanan dan minuman orang Islam banyak yang tidak bersih, suci dan halal kerana masih banyak diproses atau dikilang atau diimport daripada orang bukan Islam. Sesungguhnya, makanan yang disediakan oleh orang bukan Islam belum dapat menjamin kebersihan, kesucian dan kehalalannya, memandangkan mereka bukan mengetahui persoalan hukum halal-haram, daripada perspektif agama Islam.
Maka, yang lebih selamat, cuba usahakan dan membeli sesuatu daripada orang Islam sendiri. Tanda atau simbol halal tidak menjamin, ianya benar-benar halal. Mencari yang benar-benar halal adalah suatu tuntutan wajib. Maka, waspadalah teman-teman sekelian.

3. Membebaskan diri daripada cengkaman dunia kehidupan sekular di dalam diri individu, masyarakat dan negara.
4. Tidak mengabdikan dan menyerahkan diri kepada manusia lain, sehingga memaksa manusia tunduk dengan peraturan dan sistem manusia semata-mata.
5. Media bebas dan rakyat turut bebas memilih pemimpin yang mereka yakini. Ini bermakna, rakyat berhak dengan penuh integriti menentukan kepimpinan negara.
6. Rakyat menerima dan menikmati semua kemudahan terutama pendidikan percuma sehingga umur tertentu bagi menghindarkan mereka daripada kejahilan dan 'diperbudak-budakkan' oleh pemimpin.
7. Sistem keadilan sosial, ekonomi dan politik hendaklah ditegakkan.
8. Rakyat pelbagai agama, budaya, adat resam mestilah bersedia bekerjasama dan menghormati agama dan hidup masing-masing dan bersedia untuk memberi ruang ajaran masing-masing dilaksanakan secara aman dan rela.
